ARTICLE 1. ORGANIZER

The Open Innovation Challenge (hereinafter referred to as « the SIX Challenge » or “Contest”) is organized by ID Logistics (“Organizer”), whose registered office is located at 55 chemin des Engrenauds – CS 20040, 13660 ORGON France.

ARTICLE 2. PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION OF THE CHALLENGE

The SIX Challenge is an online challenge designed to reward innovative projects developed by ID Logistics partners. Participants must present an original and innovative solution in the following domains: transport, last miles, intralogistics, co packing.

All ID Logistics partners will be welcomed including but not limited to the following

  • Operations: safety, waste management, building maintenance, security.
  • Operating equipment : Racks, equipment (Handling, co-packing, transport), Wrapping machines, Pallet dispensers, Suppliers of consumables
  • Automation : Robotics, Mechanization
  • Informatic System category includes: Hardware, Software, Integrators, Networks, Data, HRIS)

These categories and sub-categories are not exhaustive; participants are free to propose relevant innovations that do not fit into them.

ARTICLE 2.1. CHALLENGE TIMELINE

The SIX Challenge will take place in two phases.

  • The National Challenges
  • The International Challenge

The dates and venues may be changed at the discretion of the Organizer, subject to prior notification to participants.

ARTICLE 3. ELIGIBILITY

 ARTICLE 3.1. NATIONALS CHALLENGES

The SIX challenge is open only to Organizer’s partner organizations (“Partners”) who meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be an identified Partner who has been asked by the Organizer to take part in the SIX challenge; and
  • Have a mature product, service or innovative solution. The project must be deployable on an ID Logistics site in less than a year.

ARTICLE 3.2.  INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE:

Only projects entered into the National Challenges may advance to the International Challenge.  Winners of the National Challenge automatically advance to participate in the International Challenge.   The Organizer may, in its discretion, select additional projects from the National Challenges to advance to the International Challenge.

ARTICLE 4. PRIZE

NO MONETARY PRIZE AWARDED. WINNING THE NATIONAL OR INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT ORGANIZER WILL IMPLEMENT THE PROJECT. ORGANIZER IS NOT OBLIGATED TO IMPLEMENT ANY PROJECT ENTRY.

Prize is publicity only. Organizer will publish the results of each National Contest and of the International Contest as described below. Winners may publicize that they have won the National Contest or International Contest.

Participation in the challenge does not create any obligation on the part of the Organizer to purchase or adopt the solutions, ideas or projects proposed by the participants, and the Organizer reserves the right not to retain any solution, not to award any prize or not to pursue the development of the projects submitted, without giving rise to any claims or obligations towards the participants.

ARTICLE 5. NATIONAL CONTEST ENTRY PROCEDURES AND JUDGING

ARTICLE 5.1. ENTRY PROCEDURES

Unless otherwise stated, all deadlines are at 23:59 GMT +1 on the date specified. All determinations of the timeliness of a submission are made solely by the Organizer and all decisions are final.

ARTICLE 5.1.1 REGISTRATION PHASE

Registrations are open from January 7 to March 29, 2024. Candidates are strongly encouraged to register before February 23, 2024. Candidates are invited to inform the Organizer of their wish to participate. Candidates must provide all the information required and comply with the conditions of participation.

ARTICLE 5.1.2. PROJECT SUBMISSION PHASE

After registering, participants must complete the application form on the dedicated website, which has been designed to be completed as simply, easily and quickly as possible.

The application will only be effective if it is duly completed on the dedicated portal.

The deadline for project submission is March 29, 2024. Applications received after this date will not be accepted.

ARTICLE 5.2. ENTRY MATERIALS

All materials submitted to enter a project in the contest (including, but not limited, those materials described in Articles 5.2.1 and 5.2.2) are referred to collectively as “Entry.” Partners that submit at least one entry are referred to as “Entrants.”

ARTICLE 5.2.1 MANDATORY INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS

  • A brief presentation of their company
  • The complete application form
  • Contact details of the company’s representative

In addition to be as efficient and innovative as possible, projects must not infringe the intellectual property rights of others.

ARTICLE 5.2.2 OPTIONAL ENTRY MATERIAL

  • At least one video presenting the project (recommended). Specific requirements for the video are detailed in Article 5.2.4
  • Media (photo, video) illustrating the innovative solution, product or service. Specific requirements for media are detailed in Article 5.2.4.

ARTICLE 5.2.3 MULTIPLE PARTICIPATION

In the National Challenge, Entrants are invited to propose a solution by taking part in the national challenge(s) of their choice from among the list of participating countries.  To be eligible to submit a project in a country’s National Challenge, the Partner must have an operational subsidiary in the country and must be able to implement the project in the country.

Entrants may propose multiple projects in the same country and multiple projects in multiple countries.  However, the same project cannot be presented in multiple countries.

ARTICLE 5.2.4 APPLICATION MEDIA POLICIES

To enter a National Contest, visit www.sixchallenge.id-logistics.com and follow the directions provided.  Entrants must first register for the national competition.  After registering, Entrants submit their project(s) by (1) completing an entry form, (2) providing all requested information and (3) uploading media for each entry, if applicable. Entrants are recommended to produce a video of no longer than 1 minute that presents the project. This video must be submitted in a standard format (e.g., MP4, MOV, AVI) and cannot exceed  the size specified in the website. Any photos included in the application must be submitted in a standard format (e.g., JPEG, PNG, GIF) and cannot exceed the size specified in the website. 

All online Entries must be received by March 29, 2024 to be considered. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means or by any means which subvert the entry process are void.  Organizer may limit the number of entries at its discretion. 

Organizer may, with or without notice to Entrant, modify the content of an Entry. Organizer also may contact Entrant via the contact information provided and request clarification of contents of Entry if unclear.

Entry may not contain, as determined by the Organizer, in its sole discretion, any content that:

  • is sexually explicit or suggestive, obscene, pornographic or otherwise contains nudity;
  • is unnecessarily violent;
  • is derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group, or endorses any form of hate or hate group;
  • promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing);
  • promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous;
  • promotes any particular political agenda or message;
  • is profane or offensive;
  • defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about other people or companies;
  • contains look-alikes of celebrities or other public or private figures, living or dead;
  • communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and good will to which we wish to associate;
  • appears to duplicate any other submitted Entries; or
  • violates any law.

Entry must be the original work of the entrant, and must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity.  If the Entry contains any material or elements that are not owned by the entrant, or which are subject to the rights of third parties, the entrant is responsible for obtaining, prior to submission of the Entry, any and all releases and consents necessary to permit the use and exhibition of the Entry by Organizer in the manner set forth in these Official Rules, including, without limitation, name and likeness permissions from any person who appears in or is identifiable in the Entry. Organizer reserves the right to request proof of these permissions in a form acceptable to Organizer from any entrant at any time. Failure to provide such proof may render Entry null and void.  By submitting an Entry, entrant warrants and represents that he/she and any persons appearing or who are identifiable in the Entry consent to the submission and use of the Entry in the Contest and to its use as otherwise set forth herein.

ARTICLE 5.3. JUDGING

ARTICLE 5.3.1 PROJECT PRE-SELECTION STAGE

Once the submission phase has been completed, a review committee of judges will study all the applications in each participating country. All eligible Entries received by Organizer will be judged to select up to 25 finalists per participating country by the review committee based on the following criteria: degree of innovation, added value, feasibility, replicability, and customer interest (the “Judging Criteria”).  

ARTICLE 5.3.2 EVALUATION BY THE JURY

National Finalists’ Entries will be featured on a private digital voting platform during 5 to 20 days in June 2024 (“National Challenge Voting Period”). This duration will be adjusted on Organizer discretion. The opening and closing date will be communicated before the June the 1stDuring the National Challenge Voting Period, a jury made up of ID Logistics’ customers and ID Logistics senior managers selected by the Organizer will be invited to choose their favorites finalists ranking them on a digital voting platform. Finalists are prohibited from obtaining votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including, without limitation, offering prizes or other inducements, as determined by Organizer in its sole discretion. Subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, the finalist that receives the highest number of valid votes, as determined by Organizer in its sole discretion, will be deemed the National First Prize Winner. In the event of a tie, a “tie-breaking” judge will determine the National First Prize winner based on the Judging Criteria.     

ARTICLE 5.4. NATIONAL CHALLENGE RESULT ANNOUNCEMENT

Following online voting, the results will be announced during the summer of 2024.

ARTICLE 6. INTERNATIONAL CONTEST ENTRY PROCEDURES AND JUDGING

ARTICLE 6.1. ENTRY

If selected to participate in the International Challenge, Entrants acknowledge and accept that the Entries submitted as part of the National Challenges will also be used as reference documents for the International Challenge.

By agreeing to participate in the National Challenges, Entrants expressly authorize the Organizers of the International Challenge to use the Entries to evaluate their application and participate in the International Challenge, without the need to request further authorization.

ARTICLE 6.2. INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE MULTIPLE PARTICIPATION

As mentioned above, a winning project at national level is automatically qualified to enter into the International Challenge.  The Organizer, at its discretion, may also select additional projects from the National Challenges to advance to the International Challenge (collectively, with National Challenge Winners, “International Challenge Entries”). A project must have been submitted to the National Challenge to be eligible to advance to the International Challenge. A Partner may have multiple projects advance to the International Challenge.

ARTICLE 6.3. JUDGING

The International Challenge Entries will be presented on an internal ID Logistics digital portal. All ID Logistics managers from all the ID Logistics countries will be invited to vote during the autumn of 2024 to elect the winning project(s).

International Challenge Entries will be featured on a website open to ID Logistics managers during 5 to 20 days in October 2024. The opening and closing dates (“International Voting Period”) will be communicated in September 2024. During the International Voting Period, a jury made up of all ID Logistics managers from all the ID Logistics countries will be invited to select their favorite finalist by doing a ranking of the projects. Finalists are prohibited from obtaining votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including, without limitation, offering prizes or other inducements, as determined by Organizer in its sole discretion. Subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, the finalist that receives the highest number of valid votes, as determined by Organizer in its sole discretion, will be deemed the International First Prize Winner.  In the event of a tie, a “tie-breaking” judge will determine the International First Prize winner based on the Judging Criteria.   

ARTICLE 6.4. INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE RESULTS ANNOUNCEMENT

Following online voting, the results will be announced in late 2024.

ARTICLE 7. WINNER NOTIFICATION

Judges’ and Organizer’s decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to this Contest. Potential winners will be notified by telephone, mail and/or email.  The winning projects and their organizers also may be publicized on the Organizer’s website or through other channels.

ARTICLE 8. WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION

All candidates have the right to withdraw their participation at any time, for any reason whatsoever. To withdraw a candidacy, the candidate must provide written notification addressed to ID Logistics. This notification must clearly indicate the intention to withdraw the application and must be signed by the applicant or his/her Organizer representative.

ARTICLE 9. PARTICIPATION FEES

Registration for this competition is free and does not require any financial contribution from Entrants.

Entrants are responsible for all personal expenses incurred in connection with their participation in the SIX Challenge.

Organizer is not responsible for providing remuneration or covering expenses related to the Six Challenge.

ARTICLE 10. CONFIDENTIALITY

The Organizer undertakes to respect the confidentiality of Entrants’ data and to process all personal information in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Do not submit Entries containing confidential commercial information. Entries may be shared with Organizer personnel, customers and third parties for purposes including judging and publicization of the contest. It is the obligation of Entrants to avoid submission of confidential commercial information. By submitting an Entry, entrant warrants and represents that the Entry does not contain confidential commercial information.

ARTICLE 11. GENERAL CONDITIONS

By participating, each entrant agrees: (a) to abide by these Official Rules and decisions of Organizer and judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects relating to this Contest; (b) to release, discharge and hold harmless Organizer, and its respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives of the forgoing (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from entrant’s participation in the Contest or any Contest-related activity or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any awarded prize; and (c) to the use of his/her name, voice, performance, photograph/video, data transmitted during the challenge,  image and likeness for programming, advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in any and all media (including digital media), now or hereafter known, worldwide and during twenty years by Organizer and its designees, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) or additional consents from entrant or any third party and without prior notice, approval or inspection, and to execute specific consent to such use if asked to do so. By participating, entrants also agree not to release any publicity or other materials on their own or through someone else regarding their participation in the Contest without the prior consent of the Organizer, which it may withhold in its sole discretion.

ARTICLE 12. OWNERSHIP AND LICENSE OF ENTRIES

Entrants retain all intellectual property ownership and copyrights on their project(s) and the entry materials submitted. By submitting a project, the Entrant grants Organizer and its designees a license to exploit, edit, modify, publicize and distribute the Entry and all elements of such entry, including, without limitation, the names and likenesses of any persons or locations embodied therein, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, worldwide, during twenty years without compensation, permission or notification to Entrant or any third party. For the avoidance of doubt, this license includes the right for Organizer to publicize to third parties information about Entrant’s entry, including the existence of a partnership between ID Logistics and the supplier, details about the project submitted to the competition and the result of the competition. The elements of communication on the description of the project may, at the discretion of the Organizer, be the subject of validation between the parties. 

ARTICLE 13. MISCELLANEOUS

Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, undelivered, or garbled Entries; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing or judging of Entries, the tabulation of votes, the announcement of the prize[s], the incorrect uploading of the video, photo or any Contest-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by other entrants or site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to any person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in this Contest or downloading materials from or use of the website. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Contest or website, who act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Organizer, will be disqualified and all associated Entries will be void. Should any portion of the Contest be, in Organizer’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Organizer, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of Entries, Organizer reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest and, if terminated, at its discretion, select the potential winner[s] from all eligible, non-suspect Entries received prior to action taken using the judging procedure outlined above. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, ORGANIZER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, ENTRANTS AGREE THAT RELEASED PARTIES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RELEASE OF CONFIDENTIAL COMMERCIAL INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY ENTRANTS, OR ANY INJURY OR DAMAGE CAUSED THEREBY.

ARTICLE 14. REQUEST FOR WINNERS’ LIST
